The Baker Hughes Pressure Pumping Facility in Lamar, PA is years in the making and a solution to the dire needs of the surrounding areas Pressure Pumping Facilities. With two older and outgrown operational facilities with in 200 miles of each other, consolidation was the given option. Upon the inception of this project the Energy Team was involved much beyond the typical architectural firm, from touring and collecting data at the existing facilities, to working with the brokers in support of the land acquisition. Many site changes, green field layouts, test fits and program revisions later you now have the finest Pressure Pumping Facility in the Northeast set to support the Marcellus Shale starting in 2013. In addition to the office building and workshop this 100,000 SF facility consists of chemicals and electronics laboratories, training, vehicle maintenance, pressure testing, truck fueling, truck washing, acid blending and storage, indoor & outdoor chemical storage, cement mixing and storage, pump testing, gel mixing, truck scale and 24HR manned guard house.
