The Barnsdall plant was built in the early 1900s and required several upgrades including a new blast resistant control room due to the types and location of hazardous materials on site.  The 6,000 sf concrete construction control room is designed to operate 24/7 and “burp” in the event of an explosion to keep occupants safe.
